1. Start with published Florida filings
Our pipeline uses new-business filing data from the Florida Division of Corporations, commonly known as Sunbiz. We parse the published records into business names, dates, addresses, and the people or entities named in the filings.
The publication date and an entity's filing date can differ. State holidays, weekends, and processing schedules affect availability. We use the latest published data rather than promising that every business filed today is available tonight.
Read the state's daily-data documentation.
2. Filter to the territory
We use filing address information to assign records to a county and organize them by business category. Address mapping and industry classification can be imperfect. Industry labels are a research aid, not an authoritative statement about business operations.
We aim to filter out unsuitable records and distinguish business owners from registered-agent services. Discuss your target categories with us before setup.
3. Research contact matches
Contact enrichment uses additional publicly available sources, including business websites, professional profiles, public records, and people-search databases. Automated research and matching help associate contact details with the named business or owner.
Phone numbers may be personal or business numbers. Matching is not a live verification call, and no source guarantees that a number still reaches the intended person. Email and website fields are included when available; missing fields remain missing.
4. Deliver on weekday mornings
Lists are delivered by email, with Google Sheets and CSV options. Lists arrive on weekday mornings, Eastern time. After county and setup confirmation, the first delivery is the next weekday morning. Source availability and interruptions can affect the records included.
Understand the limits
- New registration does not prove a newly operating business.
- A named officer or contact match is not proof of sole ownership.
- Contact information can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrectly matched.
- These businesses have not requested insurance quotes through FiledToday.
- A record does not establish permission to contact someone. Apply your own outreach policies and relevant requirements.
- County counts and delivered prospect counts differ after filtering and matching.
Corrections and removal
Found an incorrect match, or want your contact details removed from future lists? Email hello@filedtoday.com with the business name and the detail in question. We review corrections and removal requests.
